Hang three strips in order to check that the product is conform. Hanging more than three will annul the guarantee if a problem arises. Follow the instructions given on the label in order to know the pattern repeats and the way the paper is to be hung. It is preferable to hang the paper in ideal lighting conditions.
Position the first strip vertically. Trace a line using a plumb thread before hanging the first strip.
Hang the strips side by side respecting the pattern repeats (if any) and the position of the designs.
To avoid lumps and to make sure the surface is completely flat, you can use a small rolling pin (specific for wallpapering) or a wallpapering brush.
Cut the paper at the ceiling and on the floorboards using a Stanley knife and a ruler.
Remove immediately any paste on the wallpaper with a damp sponge for the vinyl surfaces. For the paper based or woven surfaces just dab the paste off gently with water.
For the pattern repeats which appear difficult, we suggest you do a « test run » without pasting the first two strips. Lay them on the floor or on a table, slide them together in order to obtain the position of the repeat and using a pencil, make a small light trace of about 1cm and move from one strip to the other. Hang the strips on the wall and the two light traces will align themselves thus giving a perfect match
This method can be repeated for each new strip.
